THE GREATEST AjA EVENT OF ALL TIME!
		continued...Guests were captured by Pulitzer Prize winning photographer, Mr. Don Bartletti’s moving presentation of his work, “Enrique’s Journey”, documenting the harrowing northward journeys of South American youth to San Diego in search of their parents. “These young people,” said Mr. Bartletti, “who continue to struggle after they arrive in San Diego, would have benefited immensely from a program like AjA; for them, AjA could have made the difference between thriving and struggling.” Later in the evening, people packed the Joan and Irwin Jacobs Theatre to screen the 8 min. documentary, iN+GraiN, featuring youth whose photography was selected for the exhibit. a Thank you to all of the guests who came out to support AjA and making this such a great evening! The event raised over $10,000 for AjA’s photography based programs for refugee and immigrant youth in San Diego. Special thanks to MOPA for hosting, and to Sempra Energy, the Stone Brewing Company, Dr. William Crawford, and Rebecca & D. Nielsen Pollock for sponsoring the event.
